1.02 SUBMITTALS
- A. Product Data: Submit manufacturer's product data and installation instructions.
- B. Samples: Submit one full-size snow-guard in color and material selected for approval.
1.03 QUALITY ASSURANCE
- A. Manufacturer Qualifications: Provide snow-guards manufactured by a company with an established and audited quality assurance program.
1.04 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
- A. Deliver materials and products in unopened factory labeled packages. Store and handle in strict compliance with manufacturer's instructions and recommendations. Protect from damage.

2.01 MANUFACTURER

2.02 MATERIALS
Note to Designer and Specifier: Select model required and delete others. Models listed are those most commonly used. Consult manufacturer for custom applications. The types of roofs suitable for use with each model are listed accordingly. Where more than one method for attachment is listed with a model, delete the types not required.
- A. Polycarbonate Plastic Snow-Guards: "The King", manufactured using ultraviolet stabilized polycarbonate plastic.
- Metal Roofing, Rubber or PVC Roofing: Attach with sealant adhesive.
- Metal Roofing, Rubber or PVC Roofing: Attach with screws.
- Color: Clear.
- Color: As selected by Architect from manufacturer's standard colors.
- Color: Custom color as selected by Architect.
- B. Polycarbonate Plastic Snow-Guards: "The Queen", manufactured using ultraviolet stabilized polycarbonate plastic.
- Metal Roofing, Rubber or PVC Roofing: Attach with sealant adhesive.
- Metal Roofing, Rubber or PVC Roofing: Attach with screws.
- Color: Clear.
- Color: As selected by Architect from manufacturer's standard colors.
- Color: Custom color as selected by Architect.
- C. Copper Snow-Guards: "King Copper", manufactured using 0.020 thick cold rolled copper, formed to double thickness.
- Slate Roofing: Hook unit over head edge of slate without nailing.
- Tile Roofing: Hook unit over head edge of tile without nailing.
- Asphalt Roofing: Fasten with nails.
- Wood Shingles: Fasten with nails.
- D. Copper Snow-Guards: "Queen Copper", manufactured using 0.020 thick cold rolled copper, formed to double thickness.
- Copper Roofing: Attach with solder.
- E. Stainless Steel Snow-Guards: "King Stainless", manufactured using 0.020 inch thick 304 stainless steel, formed to double thickness.
- Slate Roofing: Hook unit over head edge of slate without nailing.
- Tile Roofing: Hook unit over head edge of tile without nailing.
- F. Stainless Steel Snow-Guards: "Queen Stainless", manufactured using 0.020 inch thick 304 stainless steel, formed to double thickness.
- Metal Roofing (Except Copper): Attach with sealant adhesive.
- Metal Roofing (Stainless Steel Only): Attach with solder.
PART 3 - EXECUTION
3.01 EXAMINATION
- A. Prior to start of installation, inspect existing conditions to ensure surfaces are suitable for installation of snow-guards.
- B. For snow-guards installed with sealant, verify forecasted temperature will be above 20 degrees (F) for 48 hours after installation.
3.02 INSTALLATION
- A. Snow-Guard Installation: Comply with manufacturer's installation instructions. Attach snow-guards securely. Clean adjacent surfaces after installation per manufacturer's instructions.

Designed especially with the contractor in mind, all attachments can be made from the top. No need to try to fasten hex screws from the side.
